DIAMOND PIER

A solid pin pile foundation that reaches deep into the ground without digging holes or pouring concrete. Installation is simple. The precast concrete head is installed at the ground surface, and steel bearing pins are driven through the head and into the ground using simple hand-held tools. This is the best way to install a reliable and durable foundation that will last the lifetime of your structure.

Spring Lake Park Lumber Co. carries 2 sizes of Diamond Piers:

  • DP50 50" - To be used for loads up to 3600#. Comes with pier block, 4-50" pins, caps, and inspection plugs. To be used in areas with a frost depth up to 48". Used for residential decks, covered decks, stairs and walkways. 6 x 6 posts can be used with this pier.

  • DP75 63" - To be used for loads up to 5850#. Comes with pier block, 4-63" pins, caps and inspection plugs. To be used in areas with a frost depth up to 60". 6x6 post can be used with this pier.

Spring Lake Park Lumber Co. also has a daily Diamond Bit rental available for a small fee.

CEMENT

Cement mix and sonotubes are available for those who like a more traditional way of forming footings and/or foundations. Sonotubes are tubular concrete forms made of very heavy paper and are used as a way to "cast fluid" into shapes. These concrete forms are economical and used as a way to create columns for commercial and residential structures, light posts, flag poles, mailbox posts, fences, garages sheds, and commonly, deck piers.

Spring Lake Park Lumber Co. carries the following sizes of cement mix and sonotubes:

  • Concrete Mix
    • (60 lb bag)

  • Sonotube sizes:
    • 8" x 4′
    • 12" X 4′
    • 16" X 4′
    • 18" x 4′
    • 24" x 4′

Special ordered sizes are also available.
